inside Pillar Hall
Pillar Hall is a Grade II listed Olympia landmark for restaurants, bars and entertainment - home to the Modern British Idalia, the jazz-and-rock-soaked Pepperbird speakeasy, and Upstairs at Pillar Hall for live music and private events.
Modern British dining with European and Asian twists
Idalia is on the ground floor of Pillar Hall: a 300 cover all-day restaurant and bar set within one of the building’s most striking spaces. The Idalia name was once adopted by Aphrodite, the Olympian goddess of love and beauty - and we like to think our designer, Robert Angell, has done her proud! The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Samantha Williams and Executive Pastry Chef Lorena Tommasi.
Upstairs at Pillar Hall: dining, events and live music
Upstairs at Pillar Hall is a striking double-height space with a spectacular mezzanine. Open for private events during the week, Upstairs evolves into a restaurant with live music on Fridays and at weekends. Once home to one of the UK’s first cinemas and Vivienne Westwood’s debut catwalk show, the room has history!
For those who know
Tucked beneath Pillar Hall, Pepperbird is a speakeasy inspired by Olympia’s jazz and rock heyday of the 60s and 70s.
