About

Pillar Hall is a Grade II listed Olympia landmark for restaurants, bars and entertainment – home to the Modern British Idalia, the jazz-and-rock-soaked Pepperbird speakeasy, and Upstairs at Pillar Hall for live music and private events.

Our Philosophy

Food
Two people share a platter of sliced steak with herbs at a restaurant table, next to a plate of lobster with lemon slices and greens. One person is wearing a striped shirt and has red nail polish.

Modern British cooking shaped by international influences, led by an all-female kitchen team and centred on seasonal produce from some of the UK’s finest suppliers. From refined classics to bold, contemporary dishes, the menu reflects London’s evolving dining culture.

Drink
Rows of grapevines stretch into the distance in a sunny vineyard, with green foliage and a grassy path between the vines. Rolling hills and fields are visible in the background under a clear sky.

A considered selection of wines, standout English producers and a theatrical cocktail programme inspired by fashion and tailoring - balancing classic serves with bold, expressive creations.

Chefs
Two women wearing white chef coats stand side by side, smiling at the camera against a dark background.

Led by Executive Chef Samantha Williams and Executive Pastry Chef Lorena Tommasi, the kitchen brings together experience from some of London’s most respected restaurants, with a focus on ingredient-led cooking and thoughtful technique

Culture
A Black and white photo of a man playing an electric guitar on stage, wearing a patterned shirt and a headband, with a focused expression.

Inspired by Olympia’s cultural past- from its jazz and rock heyday to Vivienne Westwood’s first catwalk show - bringing together dining, music and performance in a space made for modern gathering.

Heritage
A woman in a light-colored belted suit sings into a microphone on stage, with a band playing instruments in the background, including a drum set and guitar. Warm stage lights illuminate the scene.

Set within the Grade II* listed Pillar Hall at Olympia, a space steeped in cultural history - from early film screenings to iconic fashion shows - reimagined as a destination for dining, music and gathering once again.

Our People

A smiling person in a white chef’s uniform holds up a large flat fish, displaying it toward the camera against a beige textured wall background.
A smiling woman in a white chef’s coat holds a decorative dessert shaped like a red high-heeled shoe with white flowers and chocolate accents, standing in front of green plants.
A smiling man with curly hair and glasses, dressed in a suit, holds two bottles of wine in his hands. He stands indoors near ornate columns and lush green plants.
A smiling bartender in a gray blazer sprinkles pink powder over a large, square cocktail garnished with a cherry and a flower at a modern bar. Bottles of liquor are visible on shelves in the background.
A man in a dark pinstriped suit and red patterned tie holds a small cup and saucer, standing against a black background and smiling slightly at the camera.
A woman with long dark hair, wearing a black dress, smiles while standing indoors among green plants and warm lighting.
A woman with blonde hair, wearing a black outfit, stands indoors by a marble column, smiling and holding a pink cocktail in a large glass. The room is warmly lit, with plants and decorative lights in the background.
