Join us at Idalia on Monday 28th September for an intimate evening exploring the wines of California, in partnership with Hallgarten Wines.
Hosted by Chuck Cramer of Terlato Wines, the evening will take guests on a journey through some of California’s most celebrated wine regions, from the cool-climate vineyards of Sta. Rita Hills to the sun-soaked valleys of Napa.
For one night only, our Executive Chefs, Samantha Williams and Lorena Tomassi, have created a four-course menu inspired by the season, with each dish paired with a standout Californian wine. Expect elegant Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Sanford, bold Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso d’Oro, and an exceptional finale from one of Napa Valley’s most prestigious estates.
The evening’s headline wine is the 2023 Chimney Rock Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags Leap District. Widely regarded as one of Napa Valley’s most prestigious Cabernet-producing regions, Stags Leap District wines are often described as an “iron fist in a velvet glove” – combining rich, deep structure with remarkably soft, supple tannins.
Chimney Rock is one of the district’s most celebrated estates, producing highly sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon that is prized by collectors and wine lovers around the world.
Guests will begin with canapés and a glass of Pillar Hall x Coates & Seely English Sparkling wine, before settling in for a four-course menu paired remarkable wines and stories from the vineyard. Throughout dinner, Chuck will share insights into the wineries, winemakers and regions behind each pour.
